Meet Our Amazing Dental Team in Federal Way

Krystal

Business Manager

I was born, raised, and lived most of my life in Puyallup until work and school brought me north, settling in Seattle. Most of my family lives around the Puget Sound so it’s nice to have an office that keeps me close to family.

Why did you choose dentistry?

I had a friend who worked in dentistry who really loved her profession. My corporate background consisted of retail operations management, human resources, and staffing, which are all skills used daily in dental office operations. I’m always learning new things! Understanding dental treatment and conditions are extremely helpful when helping patients make informed decisions that can affect their overall health, especially since dental health is a contributing factor to so many common diseases.

What’s your previous experience?

In addition to managing multiple practices, I help train office staff systems vital to helping dental offices run smoothly, including transitioning the outdated paper chart systems and film x-rays to completely computerized, paperless charting, and digital x-ray systems.

My educational achievements include:

  • Masters Degrees in both Business Administration and Microbiology
  • Certifications in Human Resources and Project Management

What do you do outside the office?

When I’m not at the office, there’s a very good chance that I still might be doing something dentistry-related. That’s how much I love dentistry! To unplug, I spend a lot of time doing dog events with my Silky Terriers and helping rescue dogs.

Who is your hero?

Wonder Woman! She has the best theme music! She is a powerful, strong-willed woman who does not back down from a challenge, yet she is very diplomatic, good-hearted, and sincere.

What “lesson from mom” do you still live by?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from my mom is to never give up on the things that matter most to you, even if it’s a struggle. If something seems bad, she reminds me that it could always be worse.

What flavor of ice cream would you be?

Lavender & Honey ice cream – specifically from Molly Moon’s. Why? Because I love lavender and honey… maybe it’s a Northwest thing.

Julie

Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised in Buckley, WA and currently still enjoy living there. I came from a family of five sisters and one brother. I have always been an outdoors person and enjoyed living in a rural area. My six nephews are my world. If I’m not at work, I’m sure to be with them.

Why did you choose dentistry?

I chose dentistry because I always knew I wanted to be in the healthcare field helping people achieve health and I always had an interest in dentistry growing up. The best part of my job is the reward of helping a patient obtain better oral health.

What’s your previous experience?

I received my associates in Dental Hygiene at the Yakima Valley Community College.

What do you do outside the office?

If I’m not at work, you will likely find me with my nephews, hiking, or at the gym. When time allows for a longer adventure, you will find me cruising the sand or riding through the mountains on my quads with family and friends.

Who is your hero?

My dad because he is the person I would always love to resemble.

What “lesson from mom” do you still live by?

Live as today is your last.

What flavor of ice cream would you be?

Cake batter because I’m sweet and like to have fun!
